Post Treatment Instructions For porcelain Veneer patients..
Do’s
–Have your teeth cleaned three or four times a year .please remember to inform your dentist that you have porcelain Veneers.
–BRUSH normally .Plaque must be removed daily, maintain using mouth wash as prescribed
–FLOSS teeth once daily atleast. remember to pull the floss out. Remove it horizontally and not vertically.
–If you notice that you are grinding your teeth in the night ,please inform us at the earliest ,so that we can give you a night guard which will protect the veneer.
–If you feel any uneven surface with your tongue, you must report it to us ,this should be repolished.
Don’ts
–Do not bite on, pencils ,pens ,pins,fingernails or anything that can put stress on the veneer ,this can fracture your veneer .
–Coffee, Colas, Coloured food including turmeric can discolor the veeners.
–Do not SMOKE
To prevent fracture, avoid directly biting with your front teeth .Hard food stuff ,for example ,ribs,bones(fried chicken ,lamb chops etc) candy,apples,carrots,nuts, can also fracture the venners.
